Shadow: But with these two, they take it a bit far.
Divine: The musician of the Straw Hats, the Soul King Brook.
Shadow: And the judge from Undertale, Sans.
Divine: It's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to determine who would prevail, in a Death Battle.
Name: "Soul King" Brook

Code of Undertale

Once again his world had been RESET, Sans figured the kid must've gotten bored, he just hoped they wouldn't take to genocide for fun. Sans watched as the millions to trillions of ones and zeroes flew by him, his worlds code, Sans could already feel his body slowly rebuilding itself. A small smile broke his expression as he saw in the distance his beloved brother Papyrus being rebuilt, Sans reached out for his brother, just waiting to get to him and complete the RESET.

"May I see your panties?" A gentlemanly voice interrupted.

"Like Hell!" A feminine voice quickly answered showing annoyance.

Sans saw another skeleton fly into his view, quite a dapper looking skeleton at that. But, Sans watched in terror as this new skeleton flew into Papyrus, striking him with such force that the pun-loving skeleton’s brother crumbled into dust on the spot, not even having the ability to speak his final words. Sans was left speechless no matter how many times this has happened, he couldn't stop this feeling, this anger.

Sans felt his feet touch something soft it was grass, had he somehow made it onto the surface? No, this wasn't the surface he knew, he was on some sort of ship. A feminine scream broke the silence behind him, Sans turned and finally noticed the one and zeros of this world desperately trying to make sense of his appearance. Sans knew now that wherever he was, he was NOT meant to ever know of this worlds existence. The girl froze along with the others aboard the ship, their body's breaking and glitching into code, he was a literal walking ERROR.

Sabaody Archipelago

"I'd say my brains are scrambled, if only I had a brain hohohohoho!" A jolly voice interrupted.

Sans turned around only to see the same well dressed skeleton from before, somehow the RESET had been interrupted, and Papyrus was gone. Sans didn't know if he could come back or not, however he did know what he was going to do to this unfortunate skeleton. Brook, stood, dusting himself off as he finally noticed what was happening around him, his friends and crew mates frozen, the zeroes and ones everywhere made little sense to him.

"Hey buddy... Seems you and I gotta problem."

Brook finally noticed the smaller skeleton standing across from him, a little more plump as well. Just looking at him Brook could deduce this fellow skeleton was quite the laid back fellow, then he remembered that the smaller skeleton was the walking dead. Shaking with fear Brook barely managed to ask.

"D-Did you do this to my friends!?"

"Good question... I got a better one for you." Brook felt his bones shake and quiver as Sans eye sockets became completely black. "Do you want to have a bad time... cause if you take another step forward."

Sans suddenly shrugs as if he's said this exact line a thousand times before. "Welp, everyone knows what happens next."

Brook shaking took one step forward and drew his sword from his cane and pointed it at Sans who being undead sent waves of fear through Brook's entire skeletal body.

"Release my friends, N-Now!"

"It's a beautiful day outside... birds are singing, flowers are blooming... on days like these people like YOU..." Sans left eye lit up a bright eerie blue, what looked to be flames surrounded it. "Should be burning in Hell... Let's go dirty brother killer!"

Sans vs Brook FIGHT by ChrisNest

Brook began to hum Bink's Brew, otherwise his fear would overcome him. Brook lunged with his sword to impale the shorter skeleton only for him to sidestep the thrust. Taking advantage of this close quarter Brook attempted to do so again and again, each thrust perfectly aimed, if only Sans had kept dodging each one as if it were child's play. Sans took a step back as Brook swung at him with a horizontal slash.

"This time anomaly, it's your fault isn't it?"

Two bones emerged from the grassy floor slamming into Brook's chest knocking the air from his lungs, hunching over the bones, another bone erupted from the ground slamming right into Brook's lower jaw. Brook felt his feet leave the ground as the blow sent him airborne. His teeth sore from being smashed together,  he could feel his back tingling for some reason. Sans's smile never faltered as more bones flew from the ground towards the airborne Brook.

Brook use his light weight to slow his fall, seeing the bones he began to swing, slicing through each of them that were coming towards him. Sans below watched as dust from his destroyed bones fell around him, this time more bones flew from the ground, some of them being light blue. Brook naturally began slashing away as he got closer and closer to the ground below, however, as he went to slash a blue bone, it struck his hand giving him a painful burning tingling sensation. The four other blue bones did the same striking both his knees, his other hand, his left shoulder, and chest.

Brook ignored this burning tingling sensation and aimed his sword at Sans below. "Swallow Bond en Avant!"

Brook dove down like a living harpoon, Sans barely managing to avoid the possible impalement, the blade going over his shoulder cutting his jacket. Brook landed and turned for a upward vertical slash, a bone however rose from the ground and knocked it off course going right over Sans head. Eyes widening Sans jumped back realizing it'd be his best interest not to let this guy get too close for comfort.

"Huh, you sure like swinging that thing around don't ya?"

Brook responded by lunging forward attempting to slash at Sans again, however, Sans only backed up for each slash avoiding each of them by a hair.

Sans's Mind: Yeesh, he ain't fooling around...

Sans backed up again only for his back to hit the edge of the ship, he stared as Brook went for another thrust. Sans's eyes widened as for the first time in this fight he raised his hand. Brook came to a sudden halt, he felt something grip his entire body immobilizing him, Sans exhaled a sigh of relief before chuckling.

"Guess you like doing things the hard way huh?"

Sans stepped to the side, and threw his hand to the side sending Brook flying through the edge of the ship and out onto the grassy terrain of the Archipelago. Sans jumped off the edge and landed on his feet, Brook attempted to stand only for a large number of bones to erupt from the ground beneath him slamming into his whole body, knocking him into the air. Sans eye got much brighter as more bones appeared above Brook, Sans lowered his hand and the bones came down slamming Brook back into the ground below.

"Heh, always wondered why people never use their strongest attack first."

Brook forced himself to his feet, this tingling sensation only getting worse the longer this fight lasted. He still couldn't tell what the cause behind it was, but he felt weaker. Brook lifted his blade and held it out cloaking it in what seemed to be cold air, Sans looked on in curiosity before Brook stepped forward and thrust the blade forward sending a large ice path towards Sans. The comical skeleton quickly rose bones from the ground to protect himself, however they all shattered upon impact making Sans stumble back.

Sans's Mind: W-What!?

Brook took off in a fast sprint towards the stumbling Sans, Brook began thrusting his blade at incredible speeds, Sans despite his stumbling was still able to make bones erupt from the ground to deflect each one, however each slash was getting closer, and closer to hitting him. Sans finally regained his footing and once again held his hand out stopping Brook in place, the tip of the blade centimeters from his face.

"Gee pal ever heard of personal space?"

Sans lowered his hand fast slamming Brook to the ground, before raising his hand and slamming Brook into the ground again. Sans did this a number of times before he finally threw his hand to his right throwing Brook into one of the many thick trees on the island. Sans was starting to get tired, this fight needed to end now or else he'd be vulnerable.

"Listen pal, I know there's a glimmer of a good person inside you. So... please lower the weapon and my job will be a lot easier?"

Sans waited watching for Brook's response, only to hear the familiar humming of the musical skeleton. Sans began hearing music, a violin in fact. Then before Sans knew it, he was seemingly surrounded by multiple copies of Brook. This was quite the odd ability, all the Brook's broke into a sudden sprint towards Sans. However bones came from the ground deflecting each of the Brook's, Sans could tell something was up.

"Pretty neat trick ya got here pal."

Sans stayed where he was blocking each of the Brook's, that is until one came up from behind, out of the corner of his eye Sans saw the icy blade coming toward him. With a smile Sans held out his hand stopping the blade inches from his face, taking hold of Brook's soul again. Brook completely off guard only stared in fear at the comical skeleton, he couldn't think of anyway that he could've detected which was the real one.

"Shame these illusions of yours don't got souls to manipulate." Sans chuckles and threw his hand up throwing Brook into the air, the illusions disappearing. "Let me show you my trick."

Sans stood still looking up at Brook as a Gaster Blaster appearing in the air, Brook reaching the peak height of the throw came face to face with the Gaster Blaster's opening jaw. A white blast erupted from it's jaw engulfing Brook's entire body slamming him not only against but through one of the enormous trees on the Archipelago, before Brook hit the ground a flood of bones erupted from the ground like a wave and slammed into Brook's back dragging him with them back towards Sans.

"I know people like you, you think you can do anything."

Brook sucked up his fear and jumped using the ground, lunging for Sans only for another Gaster Blaster to fire at him from behind the comical skeleton.

"Not because it's right or wrong, but just because you think you can."

Brook hit the ground hard rolling back until his back slammed into a tree, his body felt so weak, his bones were severely cracked showing the extent of the damage he had endured. Sans stood there, as if mocking him, his hands in his pockets as his left eye continued to glow. Brook stood and pulled his last trick.

Brook dragged his body back to it's feet and broke out into a last resort sprint, readying his fastest attack ever, his blade cloaked with the Chills of the Underworld.

Brook got closer and closer, until at long last, he slashed...

Brook's sword falls to the ground as he himself collapses onto his hands and knees, flashes of his past life, memories, and his friends bringing tears to his eye sockets. The bone impaled through him right where his heart would be withering away at his soul, the only thing keeping him alive.

Sans's feet crunched with every step as he approached the downed Brook, he'd barely managed to avoid that earlier slash, if it wasn't for his soul manipulation Sans was sure he'd be dead right now. Sans came to a stop right behind Brook, his hands in his pockets. A bone erupted from the ground impaling Brook through the gut as the bone took him into the air. Gaster Blasters surrounding him in a ring, all of them opened their jaws, bright light blinded Brook as he knew what was to come...

Shadow: Awwwww looks like another anime character bites the dust, I can hear them now. It's rigged, no way, I hate you, un watched. Shut up cry babies and let us do our thing.

Divine: First off Brook is clearly more experienced than Sans, being 90 years old. However Sans logically had a counter for just about everything Brook had.

Shadow: True Brook can cut someone so fast they don't see it, but Sans can teleport through "shortcuts", teleportation is instantaneous meaning next to nothing is faster.

Divine: We can vouch that Brook's maneuverability is superior to Sans's, if it weren't for Sans's Soul Manipulation. With it, he could literally sense where Brook was at all times.

Shadow: Might want to explain that a bit better angel boy.

Divine: Ahem, in order to control someones soul like Sans does, he clearly must be aware of it and sense it as well. Therefor logically Sans could always sense where Brook was, making ambushes and surprise attacks pretty useless.

Shadow: Speaking of Soul, Brook has clearly said so himself that the ONLY thing keeping him alive is his Soul. ALL of Sans's attacks target the soul, hell it's the first thing explained in Undertale.

Divine: Brook has no defense for his soul, leaving him very vulnerable to Sans's attacks. Karmic Retribution only made things harder on Brook as there's no way to really get rid of it.

Shadow: Sans is also unpredictable simply because during all his attacks he doesn't move, the only exception is when he uses his Soul Manipulation which Brook had no defense against.

Divine: So there, Brook sadly couldn't pull a win for this battle.

Shadow: He just wasn't Determined enough to survive.

Divine: The winner is Sans.
