Location: Blackwater City

As the sun rises and shines over the thriving town of Blackwater, a man with a dark past sits in the towns bar getting a drink, and taking a break from his troubled thoughts. John Marston sighed as he downed his shot, the dim lighting of this bar giving the entire building a relaxing laid back feeling. The doors to the building opened with an eerie creak, John felt immediately that something wasn't right, the feeling of being hunted was all too familiar to him. The heavy footsteps came to a soft stop and a slam of a hand on the counter silenced everyone in the bar.

"Anything I can help you with stranger?" The bartender asked in curiosity, this face not one he'd seen before.

"I'm looking for John Marston." Stranger asked, his hand on the counter, a wanted poster with John's face on it catching the Bartender's attention.

"Marston eh? Can't say I've seen him." The bartender lied, John slowly and quietly standing leaving the money on the counter, he wanted to avoid a confrontation. Especially somewhere like Blackwater.

John stopped at the exit as he heard was sounded wood tearing, glancing back John saw the Stranger's hand moving forward, his claws tearing easily through the wood of the counter top. Stranger lifted the paper up and compared John too it, John already began reaching for his handgun in his back holster. Stranger tucked the wanted poster into his vest and took the safety off his crossbow, preparing to load it up depending on the weapons John were to choose.

"Walk away Stranger... this isn't a fight you want." John warned, he expected this to be a quick draw and intended to end it quickly.

"John Marston..." Stranger spat on the ground. "You're coming with me, alive... or dead." Stranger lifted his arm taking aim with his crossbow just as John brought up his pistol using Dead Eye.

Fight! by ChrisNest

John took aim at Stranger's shoulders, armed hand, and lastly his head, before Stranger could fire a shot John fired a series of bullets. Much to his surprise however, Stranger ducked out of the way anticipating the deadly headshot, the other bullets connecting with a spray of blood upon impact. John kept firing, Stranger dove behind the counter for cover as John's bullets zipped over his head. Pieces of wood flew into the air, Stranger knew he had to take this fight outside. Loading Bolamites into his Crossbow, he stood up and fired hitting John right in the chest, the Bolamite quickly immobilizing John in it's web allowing Stranger to jump over him and right out the doors.

"Get back here you bastard!" John cried making quick work of the webs with his Hunting Knife, climbing to his feet John ran outside only to hear a feral growl.

John looked up just in time for five Fuzzles to lunge at him, sinking their teeth into his flesh. John struggled, reached, and a grabbed hoping to tear off the painful critters. The warmth of crimson alarmed John, the Fuzzles were doing serious damage to him, taking his Hunting Knife John slashed at each of them luckily prying them all off him. He held his left side where one had bit him pretty hard, a sensitive spot he'd need to take precautions protecting.

"Hey jackass whens the last time you showered!?" A high pitched voice rang out catching John's attention. It was coming from the center of town.

"Lot of talk for someone whose hiding." John retorted thinking Stranger was being a smart ass.

However as he reached the center of town and checked the tree only to find a Chippunk. Annoyed John raised his foot to stomp the Chippunk only to have something ram into his already injured side. John went flying to the side tumbling over the grass and stopping on one of many stone paths. John holding his side forced himself to stand, the sight of Stranger standing in front of the centerpiece proceeding to piss him off further.

"Lucky shot, this time you won't have time to hide." John grumbled quickly lifting his Revolver and fired a series of shots at Stranger, who dropped to all fours and took off running towards John.

Bullets hit the ground, inches from hitting their marks, Stranger making extra care to watch where the gun was pointing and aiming. John took a couple steps back, now having an empty clip, Stranger grabbed John's arms and threw a punch only for John to duck underneath it and hit Stranger with his own uppercut. Stranger reeled back as John caught his leg with the Lasso, giving a hard pull Stranger felt his leg give and he landed on his back with a hard thud. John started to pull Stranger in, aiming his handgun at the beast, Stranger thinking quick aimed and fired another Fuzzle.

The feral beast sunk it's teeth deep into John's leg making his cry out and drop the Lasso, climbing back to his feet Stranger lunged forward his fist connecting with John's jaw. John quick to react slashed out at Stranger leaving two bloody gashes in the Bounty Hunter's chest. Stranger raised his crossbow and fired a Boombat at point blank range, the resulting explosion sending them both flying back to opposite ends of the plaza, John hitting a tree and Stranger landing hard on his back his head ringing from the explosion.

John had had enough, forcing himself to his feet, favoring his injured leg he lifted his Carcano Rifle and took aim at Stranger. Stranger quick to rise to hide feet took a bullet to the shoulder, followed by a shot in his chest dangerously close to his heart, just as he turned to escape a bullet caught his right ankle. Stranger dove to the side behind a lamp post more bullets flying past him, injured he quickly shook the damage off breathing a sigh of relief in the process.

"Gotta, end this quickly." Stranger murmured to himself loading Stingbees and Thudslugs into his crossbow, he needed to slow this cowboy down.

Stranger quickly emerged from behind the lamp post, a hail of Stingbees homing in on John, seeing this John quickly turned and ran in a desperate attempt to avoid the incoming fire. However he felt some of the Stingbees graze him as he finally took cover behind one of the pillars in front of the Town Hall. John's breathing was heavy, his heart beating wildly, lighting up some a couple sticks of Dynamite John threw them behind him as far as he could. Stranger seeing the oncoming explosives turned to flee but was too slow, the Dynamite landing mere feet from him before going off in a fiery explosion.

"Shouldn't be causing trouble now." John muttered in relief coming out from his cover, his rifle still in his hands. He wanted to make damn sure Stranger was dead.

John stopped the sight before him none like he'd ever seen before, Stranger stood, all four hooves revealed and his boots on the ground quite far from him. Stranger looked beyond pissed off at this point as he simply shook the damage off before reloading his crossbow and turning to face the man who nearly killed him. John raised his Rifle taking aim intending to end it with a shot to the head.

"What the hell are you!?" John demanded to know, though Stranger simply spat to the side in the ground.

"You know now... but you won't live to tell the tale."

Stranger dropped and took off running all hooves and hands, John backed up taking shots at Stranger only for the Bounty Hunter to move quickly avoiding fire or simply going through it without a care. John activated his Dead Eye, finally able to use it again, locking onto Stranger's shoulders, elbows, and head, with clear accuracy John fired. Only for Stranger lunge out and slam head first into John taking the cowboy to the ground knocking the wind from his lungs. Blood poured from his side from the impact, his legs wound being opened again as well.

Stranger grabbed John by the throat and threw a punch, John quick to catch his fist and flip them over where John was on top now. John bit his lip ignoring the agonizing pain and punched Stranger in the face directly on the nose, a crunch being heard on impact. Stranger slammed his head into John's making the cowboy stand and reel back from the blow, John's vision now blurry and his senses dizzied. Stranger stood up lunging out at John once more, the cowboy quickly pulled his Hunting Knife and just like that the two were interlocked in a battle of dominance.

John kicked Stranger's right knee making him buckle before moving into punch the Bounty Hunter square in the jaw. Stranger recoiled however into a spin grabbing John by his throat and throwing the man to the ground with feral strength. Stranger without hesitation landed a strong punch to John's face before doing so again, and again, and again, and again. Stranger finally stopped his assault, lifted John by his shirt collar and threw him away through the doors of the Town Hall, crashing to the floor staining it with fresh crimson blood.

John through the main, stumbled up to his feet, though a quick impact to his chest followed by a powerful electric shock left his senses and nerves completely stunned. John fell to his knees finding it harder and harder to breath, his vision getting darker and blurry. Stranger stood just outside, his crossbow aimed at John.

"This is how punks go down."

Stranger fired a Boombat behind John the following explosion sending John's body towards Stranger, who still aimed fired a Thudslug just as John's body was inches from hitting him. John's body obliterated on impact in a gory shower of blood and guts, all that remained was the hat, carried off by the wind as the sun set. Stranger turned tipping his hat in respect making his way back home, his job here done, he couldn't be spotted without his boots.

Ko! by ChrisNest

Shadow: Wow that was freaking amazing!

Divine: Yes quite, a quick end nonetheless. John and Stranger were perfectly equal in terms of weaponry and arsenal, but what broke that stand still was variety.

Shadow: All of John's weapons are standard firing only bullets, stuff Stranger has dodged and took on before with no troubles.

Divine: Explosions are no different, even at point blank Stranger can take a remarkable amount of damage, John also had no way of healing himself during the battle while Stranger could just shake off the damage.

Shadow: Stranger's weapons and ammunition each have their own unique purpose, electrocution, explosives, and rapid fire homing ammo, John had no defense against.

Divine: And while it may be true John's Dead Eye was powerful and could end Stranger given the chance, however the very ending of Red Dead proved it has it's limits.

Shadow: John can easily be overwhelmed even using his Dead Eye, and keep in mind he fires them in quick succession, not instantly. Stranger dodges these same types of bullets on a daily basis, it's his job.

Divine: Most of John's feats have also been because of assistance from his allies, John is rarely ever alone when taking on a large gang while Stranger takes them ALL on his own.

Shadow: John just couldn't redeem this victory.

Divine: The winner is Stranger.

Great matchup, though I am surprised John did nor realize he was not a human earlier since it has been confirmed the Stranger is like 8 feet tall....yeah seriously he's pretty huge. Nonetheless a good fight.
